- THE BLACK DEATH: The plague was a terrible illness that swept across Europe killing millions of people. Some cities lost more than half of their population to this terrible disease. However, from the ashes of the Black Death, European society was reborn in ways that have greatly benefited us.
- Read the information about the Black Death in "The Rat Flea and the Black Death" PDF. As you do, fill out the "Black Death Flea Notebook" slides in your packet. (You will have to set your iPad's orientation in order to fill them out effectively).

- Write a fictional diary entry from the point of view of someone living during the height of the plague. You don't need to write a full-length story, but include three or more paragraphs showing what is happening to your character, how your character feels about it, and what eventually happens to your character
- Make 2 comic book pages showing one character's adventures with the plague

- Make a 6 slide slideshow where a fictional character who is about to die of the plague shares the six things/people/etc. that they will miss the most.
- Create another historical fiction product based on your understanding of the Black Death in the Middle Ages.
